The Demerit Wal-Mart campaign is a project of MomsRising.org in partnership with many other organizations. MomsRising is a transpartisan, multicultural organization bringing together millions of people who share a common concern about the need to build a more family-friendly America. Calling for fair paid sick days policies and practices for all is one of our key campaigns, along with paid family leave, healthcare reform, affordable early learning/childcare, toxic-free children's products, and ending discrimination against mothers in the workplace MomsRising's members are bringing important motherhood and family economic security issues to the forefront of the country's awareness. Together we are working to create cultural and legislative change at the state and national level. |

The mission of the National Labor Committee is to help defend the human rights of workers in the global economy. The NLC investigates and exposes human and labor rights abuses committed by U.S. companies producing goods in the developing world. We undertake public education, research and popular campaigns that empower U.S. citizens to support the efforts of workers to learn and defend their rights. |
